Training school is designed to train and prepare the teacher for delivering excellent performance in any school. Initial Teacher Training is a course taken up most teachers in the UK and the US for training teachers to become exceptional in their ways of teaching. There are many aspects in teaching that a teacher will be unaware of, unless she has five or six years of experience handling a group, class or a mass. London has 27 secondary schools and all of them are staffed by some of the best teachers around the world. In fact teachers are handpicked from different sections of Europe and the U.S. and there are 9 or 10 primary training schools that offer Initial teacher training. Quality is the primary subject in a training school. All the miscellaneous rules and regulations come along with the quality tag. Training school makes a teacher become more reflective about her own ways of teaching and analytical about the different methods used for teaching. Training school provides the opportunity for teachers to develop and grow in their field. The conglomeration of two or three training schools in particular vicinity is having positive effect on the results regarding staff morale, recruitment and retention. Training school encourages a teacher to be share ideas and common practices. It also creates an environment for sharing ideal practices and also developing them. The only problem characteristic of any good training school in England is that they are too traditional and are not open to new ideas. This is in direct contradiction with training schools in the U.S. They are much more open to innovation and different methods of teaching. Training school affiliated to the U.S. Marines and the Army is a good example to quote different procedures used for training. Training school is a program for adult learning. It concentrates on the transfer of skills and offers a good place for professional development. The entire school workforce will be supported with different types of training procedures. The training procedures are personalized and are more focused towards accepted standards of teaching and training. The accepted standards are not by any way, just two or four procedures that have been followed for hundreds of years. These standards have been practices, researched for results and their results have been compared to other methods of practice. Team work is also an important lesson given in training schools. Team work can be a good thing if you are mingling with others and are working towards a common goal. However, motivating others under you and grouping them and making them work together as a team is altogether a different challenge. There are several movies in Hollywood that portrays such good and hard qualities in teachers. In addition to administrative skills the training school should involve interactive sessions with teacher training providers and local authorities regarding all issues concerned. Every school has its own research program and collaboration of such programs play a key role in improving teachers and training. Interactive programs form an integral part of a training school.
