The second most spoken language in America. Besides being the official language of 21 countries, Spanish is an official language of many international organizations not to mention the United Nations.

Learn Spanish and huge opportunities will open up and you become competitive as it is no longer a choice.Many businesses prefer bilingual employees to deal with their Spanish speaking customers as well as the staff.The Spanish speaking market is growing in the US as it is approaching 30%(over 46 million people speak the languge) making US the 4th country with the largest Spanish speaking population in the world.There are also more law firms pursuing to market the Spanish speaking population.

To change your perspective. In Spanish, you say "I have fear" (yo tengo miedo). Psychologists tell us that thoughts like "I am afraid" create too much identification with the feeling. It's healthier to think "I feel fear," or "I have fear," and in Spanish it's automatic.

It's fun! Whether it is just from the pleasure of taking on a new challenge and making progress doing so or the fun of watching your ability and understanding increase, learning another language is a pleasurable experience.

Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn. It's to other languages such as Portuguese and Italian.Spanish and English words share common Latin roots.

For example, ‘no’ is ‘no’, ‘hola’ is ‘hi’, etc, meaning that some words can be guessed at. Another thing which helps is that most people know more Spanish than they realise, from movies and television. Most people know that ‘gracias’ means ‘thank you’ and ‘adios’ means ‘goodbye’ just from their repeated use in the media. The Terminator films became famous for the Spanish phrase ‘hasta la vista’ – roughly, ‘until I see you again’, a farewell.

It seems to be the most practical language to have these days living in the US. With an ever-expanding Latin American population, being able to speak a language that is becoming so widely used would be an invaluable asset. Schools are even becoming bi-lingual and Spanish is stressed.
Learning Spanish will only make life easier in a Spanish speaking neighbourhoods.

If you learn Spanish,globally it will also broaden your horizons.Both business and leisure travelling to Spanish speaking country will be much easier.You would be able to use your Spanish skils when you are shopping.It is quite common that these vendors would raise the prices of their goods,if they see that you are the foreigner.If you speak their language they might lower the price and this could save you money.

Most Latin American countries, those in Central and South America speak Spanish and with an ever increasing amount of people in the United States. That is almost an entire continent full of a language.And then there is Spain as well, while the slang may be slightly different than the Spanish in Latin America,it still is Spanish.
